Terms of service
Last updated: August 2026
These terms govern your use of the RTLDocs API, playground, and dashboard. By creating an account or sending a request to the API, you agree to them.
The service
RTLDocs is a document extraction API: you send a document, we return structured, typed JSON — with particular attention to Arabic, Hebrew, and other right-to-left scripts. The playground lets you try the API without an account, subject to the shared daily free-token pool described below.
Accounts and API keys
Sign-up is passwordless — we email a one-time code to verify you own the address. You're responsible for keeping your API keys confidential and for all activity under your account. If a key is compromised, revoke it from your dashboard and issue a new one.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to process documents you don't have the right to process, to attempt to circumvent rate limits or quotas, or to reverse-engineer or resell the API without a separate agreement. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or the shared free-token pool.
Plans, billing, and the free tier
The Free plan includes a limited number of pages for a trial period, no card required. Paid plans (Growth, Scale) are billed monthly or annually via Lemon Squeezy and include a monthly page quota; usage beyond that quota is billed as overage at $0.02/page, invoiced separately after the period ends. You can change your plan from the dashboard at any time. Cancelling a paid plan takes effect at the end of your current billing period — no refund is issued, and you keep full access until then.
The public playground and every Free-trial account draw from one shared daily token pool, which resets at UTC midnight. Once it's exhausted, playground uploads and Free-trial extraction calls are paused until the reset — this never affects a paid plan's own monthly quota.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee the API will be uninterrupted or error-free. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned maintenance that affects the service.
Intellectual property
We retain all rights to the RTLDocs API, models, and dashboard. You retain all rights to the documents you submit and the extracted output we return to you — we don't claim ownership of your data.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. On termination, your right to use the API ends, and any documents in flight are discarded per our zero-retention policy — nothing is retained afterward.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, RTLDocs isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the API, including decisions made based on extracted data — extraction confidence scores exist precisely because automated extraction isn't infallible, and output should be reviewed for anything consequential.
Changes to these terms
We'll update this page if these terms change materially, and update the "Last updated" date above accordingly. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
